Rb for Model Number CA2762XYW0 Washer clothes are too wet for dryer, drum appears empty. On dis-assembly, water in hoses (which may be normal). Drain pump # 3363394 is removed. No blockages, impeller intact. But trying to turn that impeller is not smooth. Sticky, stops with manual turning. Shouldn't that impeller (a good or NEW impeller) move smooth or freely (to push out ALL water), hence the drain pump is bad? Thanks for your expert reply.
Answer RB, while the drain pump should be able to rotate fully without much resistance, it is unlikely to be the issue as it is rotated directly by the motor. As the drain pump does rotate, the next items to check would be the motor coupling 285753A to ensure that it is intact and the next likely item would be the clutch assembly 285785. Read More...
