Dick for Model Number 11092586400 We had the Sears washer apart to install the new Lid Switch Assembly and noticed a black rubber ring laying on the floor; the white plastic pegs are broken. Black shavings were laying on the floor also. I just now ordered the Motor Coupler Assy.and also a new pump. My question is: if this part was laying on the floor; is there something else wrong to cause it to fall out of the motor? Maybe another part needs to be replaced? Thanks This site is wonderful!!!!
Answer Hello Dick. No, over time they wear out and if they break bad enough, they will fall onto the floor. Also, overloading the unit will cause them to break like this.
