Mary for Model Number KUIS155HRS4 It would make a couple of pieces of ice. The water in the tank was cold but it would sound like a washing machine filling up! When I took it apart I saw the cutting wire was broken. Could I try to repair just the wire then run the nickel cleaner thru the cycle to see if that fixes the problem? Or is something else like the valve broke also?
Answer Hello Mary, The water will only surge if the pump is running out of water to circulate. This can only be caused by the water valve W10801996, the tank 8201617 leaking, (the cap WP2185696 could be loose or cracked), or the pump WP2217220 itself. Most of the time the seals in the pump will be at fault. Once in a while you will find a hose off or not connected good. The cutting grid WP2313637 is available also. Read More...
