Repair N. for Model Number GHW9100LQ The plastic tan looking color behind the hold/start button broke and the start button fell inside. How do I open to reach this item to replace it. I need step-by-step instructions to fix it. Thanks REPAIR NOVICE
Answer Hi Repair N. You first need to remove the top, by removing the three back screws and pushing backwards and lifting up. Then on the inside of the control panel there are "finger" clips that need to be released very gently to release one portion at a time. There is a ribbon cable that goes to the central command unit that needs to be un hooked. All of the machine controls buttons are "sandwiched" all together piece by piece. You have to be care full and separate, paying close attention to inner spring loaded buttons. The start button is part # WP8181861. The user interface is part # WP8181905. Thank you. Read More...
