Frank for Model Number gx2fhdxvb00 My icemaker does not make ice. I have replaced the water filter and still not making. The water does seem to get to the icemaker but it does not eject the ice.
Answer Hello Frank, Pull the front cover off of the icemaker. Take the icemaker motor off and using multi meter check continuity of thermostat WP627985 and heater WPW10190929. If you do not have continuity on either part then you would need to either replaced that part or the icemaker. If you have to replace either of these parts you will also need allumilastic WP4317852. Also check the large gear on the motor to make sure the pins in the middle are not broken or pushed together. If this is the case then you will need to replace the module W10190935. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
