Sandi for Model Number WTW8600YW0 My washer is just under 3 years old. I have the whirpool WTW8600YW0. I first noticed it had a hard time starting. I would have to press and hold power button for it to start. This started about a year ago. Recently, it has been really loud on occasion. I thought d/t maybe unbalances. NOW, the screen displays an UL on the control panel and it won't go away. I have tried unplugging, tried running an empty load. When I took it out to look at the back, I noticed a big brown dried up grease puddle that also was sprayed on the dryer. It looks like it leaked from the bottom. Please help! At first I thought suspension d/t UL. But now with he big grease puddle, I am unsure.
Answer Sandi, With the noise and the brown substance underneath the unit, it appears that the tub seal has developed a leak and the bearings have gone out. You would want to replace the tub assembly which is part number W10381078. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Wednesday, August 12, 2015
