Mike for Model Number Ghw9400pl4 The Service tech checked our 4 year old machine and found one suspension spring had broken and dropped the basket onto the pump housing and broke it. His P & L is very expensive. I have pretty good repair skills. Is this something that I should consider doing myself and is there any instructions available? Also the door gasket got wrinkled during this failure, should I replace it or could I do that later?
Answer Mike, it will require removing the top and the front of the unit, to gain access to the components damaged. After assessing the damage it will be dificult for us to advise you can do the repairs or not. Unfortunately we don't have any instructions that we can provide for this repair.
