  • Remove required panels or the control console to access the switch; keep track of screw locations and wire connections.

Mark for Model Number KSFS25FJBL01

Hello, I have a Kitchenaid model KSFS25FJBL01 Counter Depth Refrigerator, and the ice dispenser, water dispenser, and light are not working. Sometimes I'm able to get the light to work, so I know the bulb is good, but it's an intermittent problem. The ice and water dispensers never function. Does this sound like the front panel switch assembly (Part Number AP3086666) is bad? Can I use a multimeter to determine the problem? If so, what exactly should I look for? Thanks, Mark

Answer

Hello Mark, This sounds like possibly a bad light/door switch W11396033. If it doesn't make when closed, the dispenser is disabled. This would not mean the lights would not come on since this is a different connection inside the switch. I would also check the harness at the door hinge for broken or naked wires. The other switches in the dispense area should be checked in case they have been fouled by drinks splattering when ice was dispensed.
