Barbara for Model Number MGR5750BDW My oven will not light on bake, it does light on broil. I do not smell gas and it does not glow. about 3 years ago I had to change out the glow stick and I was thinking it might need the igniter switch this time. How do I know the part I need for the bake switch.
Answer Barbara, Your range doesn't have a "Bake Switch". The ERC (electronic range control) WP5701M382-60, Applies 120 VAC power to the igniter 74007498, when a bake or broil selection is made. The igniter glows until the system draws 3.2 to 3.6 amps, at the proper amp draw, the safety valve opens and the burner ignites. You most likely have a weak or cracked oven bake igniter 74007498 again, based on your description Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, August 22, 2014
