Robert C. for Model Number GC900QPPB2 My trash compactor does not shut off when it reverses and reaches the top of the cycle. It just bangs and I have to shut if off with the off switch. I have already changed this switch and it did not fix the problem. What else could it be?
Answer Hello Robert. You will need to test the start switch W10813586 and see if it is bad. If it is good, you have a bad motor W10439651. You can test this with a multi-meter MA-DM1.
