Answer Roger, If this is actually a Whirlpool D/D washer, your first check needs to be at the lid switch WP3949238 . The washer will fill and wash, but will not drain and spin if the switch has an issue. If the washer does drain but no spin, we'll need to get into the clutch assembly or brake pads. Good Luck.
