Kevin I have a Kenmore 80 series washing machine. The machine will fill with water and start the wash cycle....but it will run the wash cycle for ever if you let it. The dial doesn't move to the next step. You can stop by pushing in the knob in and moving it manually to the next cycle. I will even spin out the water....once again, it will spin forever if you let it. you have to do it all manually. I'm thinking timer but wanted to check with you, someone who knows far better than me, before I spend a lot of money trying to narrow it down
Answer Kevin, Yes, all indications are a mechanical failure in the timer gear case or a failed timer motor, replace the timer and you should be fine. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Wednesday, October 23, 2013
