Davey for Model Number WED5100VQ1 hello. My Whirlpool electic dryer stop drying on the times dry cycle but still heats up on the automatic cycle. I replaced the heater element but I have the same issue. Could it be a faulty timer?
Answer Davey, At this point, based on your post description Yes the timer WPW10185982 is the most likely issue. Since the timer activates the same heater contacts in the timer (A to C terminals "close" on all heat settings and cycles) If the dryer heats in one selection, it should heat in the other, unless there's and issue with the interior contacts.
