Answer Hello David, It is not hard to replace the timer at all. Unplug the washer and take the screws out from across the top of the control panel. Remove the knob by popping the center out and remove the little "c" clip. Be careful not to lose it! Pull the outer part of the knob off and remove the two screws securing it to the panel. With the timer loose, you can depress the retaining clips on either side of the harness connector. Once you have removed both of the connectors, reverse the procedure to install the new timer.
