Cherylann W Woburn , MA January 06, 2015 Appliance: Maytag Top Loading Washer LAT9334AAE Washing machine would not agitate or spin The washing machine intermittently would not agitate or spin. A reset of the timer dial fixed it. Then nothing fixed it. Originally thought it was the timer but father wanted to check out other possibilities. So he brought his meter over and went through all that he could, including checking power to the motor below. All was good electrical-wise. On the holiday, January 1, a rep. at AppliancePartsPros assured me that if a new timer did not fix the problem, I could return the item, even after installation. (All of the other on-line parts stores would not allow that. The others were $30 cheaper so it was a tough decision to make!) The part left the warehouse on January 2nd by standard shipping. On the morning of January 3rd, I checked the tracking and it said, "Item delivered to your front porch at 9:16 am." Yes, it was there! 5 minutes later, I had the timer installed and the washing machine working properly again. Hope to get many more years out of the machine. Justin M Charlotte , NC May 08, 2014 Appliance: Maytag Top Loading Washer LAT8504AAE Washer would fill and then stop on regular cycle on perm press had to pull and hold knob to advance cycles I don't know much about washing machines but I did some research online and was pretty sure this was being caused by the timer. I was correct and the new timer I ordered has us running again. Pretty happy about this considering the washer is at least 15 years old and never given me trouble so I was hoping I could repair it. NOTE: Knob is retained by a clip. Remove plastic cover on the knob to access clip - don't just yank on the knob!
