Jack for Model Number maytag LAT8434AAE Delicate cycle operates normally. Normal and permanent press cycles fill normally to proper water levels with proper temperature mix selected but will not agitate or spin. This looks like a defective timer. Any suggestions before I order timer? Thanks, Jack
Answer Hello Jack. Either the contacts in the timer WP22001026 are bad or the motor is bad. Keep in ind, this is a two speed motor, and delicate uses the low speed. Test at the motor, with the unit on in regular cycle with tub full of water and see if there is power at the black and yellow wires. If so, motor is bad. If not, replace the timer. Read More...
