James G. for Model Number mde9306ayw My dryer runs fine but does not heat and the timer switch does not turn. I just assumed that it was the timer switch and replaced but all the same. What is my problem ?
Answer Hi James. Check the hi-limit thermostat part # WP303396 and the thermal fuse part # WP33001762 to make sure they are ohming closed. The heater is part # WP307178 . It needs to ohm out between 8-18 ohms. Not open or shorted to the chassis itself. If these test OK, then see if you are getting live voltage from the blk wire # 33 from the motor to the heater.
