Richard for Model Number MVWC6ESWW1 I recently replaced the timer on my washer but with the new timer the washer stops when it gets to the "rinse" cycle. If I push the control knob in and pull it out again, washer continues with its cycle. Is there a simple solution other than replacing the timer again?
Answer Richard, check the wiring harness between the temperature switch WPW10248240 and the timer control on the back of the timer. Check the wiring to the water valve and check to make sure you get hot, warm and cold water to and through the fill valve WPW10175893. The more likely issue is the PCB inside the water temp. switch has a failed circuit and has to be "hard reset" to make it fill in the rinse cycle(cold water). Read More...
