This self-tapping screw is used to attach various parts to the engine housing of medium sized gasoline powered engines, in particular yard tools such as tillers, snow blowers, yard tractors, riding mowers, power vacuums, shredders, and chippers. It is used in over 150 different gasoline powered engines. Screws such as these are used particularly when a device is going to receive a great amount of vibration and stress while the engine is running and rotating tools are engaged. Such devices sustain a great deal of wear over time and the parts subject to replacement will eventually fail and need to be replaced. In such cases, it is wisest to replace the attaching hardware such as housing screws as well, because it is a self-tapping screw. Screws of this type are designed to forge a tight bond between the metal pieces they are securing together, but once loosened, they should ideally be replaced with new hardware. Make sure when replacing these screws to use genuine OEM parts like these screws. These replacement parts are manufactured to be identical to the original pieces. This hex screw is compatible with the following brands: MasterCut, Yard-Man, Yard Machine, Montgomery Wards, MTC, Murray, Bolens, Craftsman, Turf King, Troy Bilt, Cub Cadet, Huskee, Toro, and Ryobi.
This replacement part is an auger axle. It is a genuine replacement part made by MTD. The auger axle typically assists the wheels in rotating in the proper direction during use. A new auger axle might be needed if the user notices that the wheels in the appliances are not rotating smoothly or at all. It is possible that after a long time of use the axle parts can become worn down or stripped due to normal wear and tear. If this is the case it is recommended that they be replaced as soon as possible. This axle auger is sold individually and is sourced directly from the manufacturer. This is also a genuine OEM replacement part. Be sure to purchase the correct amount as many machines require more than one to operate correctly and run properly.
This is a hi-pro key, or high profile key. This part is most commonly used to lock pulleys and gears into transmission shafts. Replacing a damaged, broken or lost hi-pro key is simple, requiring only a set of pliers to complete. This hi-pro key is an authentic OEM component sourced directly from the manufacturer. It is sold as an individual unit. It is compatible with lawn tractors and snowblowers from MTD, Ryobi, Yard Machines, Bolens, Yard-Man, Troy-Bilt, Cub Cadet, and Huskee. It is made of high-quality, durable metal materials.
In a snowblower, the driveshaft is connected to a part called a worm gear. The worm gear turns the auger blades which eject the snow. The worm gear is connected to the worm shaft, which causes the auger blade to turn rapidly. Eventually, the incredible torque inside the machine, plus the occasional bumps and bruises experienced by the machine in operation and when being stowed, may cause the worm gear to malfunction. When the snowblower is erratic in its operation and fails to remove snow completely, there is a good chance the problem is the worm gear. To replace the worm gear, remove the housing to get to the worm shaft. Remove the entire worm assembly. Next, remove the blower fan and remove the worm gear. Grease the auger assembly before installing the new gear. Reverse the order to reassemble. While the snowblower is disassembled, it's the best time so exam the auger, driveshaft, sheer bolts, and tires for wear. You may find other parts that need to be updated. Make sure to replace the worm bolt and any other necessary parts with a genuine OEM manufactured part such as this one. This gear can be used in a number of snowblowers, including machines made by Yard Machines, Craftsman, Bolens, Yard-Man, Troy-Bilt, Cub Cadet, Ryobi, Montgomery Wards, Huskee, and MTD. Part sold individually.
This grease plug is a genuine OEM replacement part sourced directly from the manufacturer. It is found on snowblowers and other outdoor yard machines on the gearcase assembly, which houses the auger gear. The grease plug seals the oil port on the gearbox. This keeps lubrication inside the gearbox and is the access point for adding more when needed. If this plug is lost, the gearbox's oil could leak out, and contaminants could get into the gearbox.Lubricate the contents of the gearbox before installing the new grease plug. Locate and remove the two screws on the side to drain the gearbox. Install the grease plug in the bottom. Refill the oil using the vent hole. Continue filling until oil is coming out the top side screw. Close everything back up, and the machine is ready for use. To prepare the equipment for long storage, remove the grease plug and check the oil level. If it is not to the top, add more lubricant before sealing the grease plug. This grease plug is made of durable black molded plastic and is sold as an individual unit. It is compatible with snowblowers and snow throwers manufactured by Ryobi, MTD, Yard Machines, Troy-Bilt, Bolens, Yard-Man, Cub Cadet, and Husky.
This is a genuine OEM oil seal sourced directly from the manufacturer for use in the engines of snowblowers and snowthrowers. Oil leaks are prevented using this oil seal on the worm shaft and beside the bearing-flange. It is made from durable plastic that is designed for heavy use; however, over time, the seal can become worn or damaged. Damage or wear to the oil seal can result in oil leaks and loss of engine performance. The oil seal will need to be replaced if oil is leaking from the snowblower. Replacing the oil seal will require a wrench set, pliers, and socket set. Following the diagram for the correct equipment model, disassemble the engine to reach the worm shaft and remove the damaged oil seal. Clean any old lubricant on the area. Install the new oil seal with fresh lubricant. Replace the engine parts in reverse order. Regular lubrication of the worm shaft will add to the engine's performance and prolong the life of the oil seal. This oil seal is sold individually. It is made for snowblowers and snow throwers manufactures by Ryobi, MTD, Yard Machines, Bolens, Yard-Man, Troy-Bilt, Cub Cadet, and Husky.
This is a flat washer that can be used with bolts and screws on many kinds of lawn and garden equipment. Before a bolt can be fastened to a surface, a fastener needs to be inserted through the end. A washer can be used with these items to help distribute the load. Washers are also responsible for decreasing heat and friction while a fastener is tightened to a surface. Washers can also be used to offer electrical insulation or operate as spacers.Even though washers are made of durable materials, they can be damaged over time. If the shape of the washer is bent or cut in half, this indicates that it needs to be replaced. A socket wrench or screwdriver can be used to make the replacement. Remove the screw or bolt, remove the fastener, and add the washer to the fastener before it screws back in.This flat washer is a genuine OEM replacement part sourced directly from the manufacturer. It is compatible with lawnmowers, wood chippers, snowblowers, log splitters, tillers, chainsaws, and edgers by Craftsman, MasterCut, Cub Cadet, Turf King, Ryobi, Bolens, Husky, Montgomery Wards, Murray, Huskee, Yard Machines, and MTD. It comes as an individual part.
This is an authentic OEM replacement flat washer that has been sourced directly from the manufacturer. It is used with bolts and screws for fastening components on various lawn and garden equipment parts. Flat washers spread the load of the bolt or screw or are used if the hole for the fastener is larger than necessary. The washer fills in the gap, making it more secure. Washers may also be used to prevent the bolt or screw from coming in contact with the component and creating heat or friction that could damage the part. Flat washers are found underneath the head of the bolt or screw, between the fastener and the connected component. Washers may rust or break over time. These changes are visible, and a replacement washer should be installed when necessary. The tools required to remove the bolt or screw depend on what type it is. Wear work gloves when removing and replacing parts. Broken or frayed metal edges can cut. Use the appropriate tool to loosen and remove the fastener. Slide the washer off and place the new one on. Reinstall the bolt or screw and tighten. The flat washer is made of durable metal and sold as an individual component. The flat washer is compatible with chippers, shredders, lawnmowers, tractors, blowers, and other lawn and garden tools manufactured by Craftsman, Bolens, Yard Machines, Troy-Bilt, MTD, Yard-Man, and more.
