A mulching blade has a unique curved or angled design that allows discharging, bagging, and mulching. If its edges are already dull, it can lead to longer mowing time and frayed and torn grass blades. Mulching blade installation is easy. First, unplug the spark plug wire. Then, position the lawnmower on its side. Get a woodblock, preferably 6 x 2 in size, and put it between the old blade and housing deck. Make sure that the wood will prevent the old blade from moving. Take a socket wrench and remove the blade’s nut and washer. Remove the old blade and put the new mulching blade in. Put the nut and washer back and tighten until it is secured. You can use the woodblock to prevent the replacement blade from moving when it is tightened. This mulching blade replacement s an original MTD product. This OEM mulching blade can be used for MTD, Craftsman, Cub Cadet, Murray, Yard-Man, and Bolens lawnmower models. This brand-new mulching blade is sold individually. The support blade and screw hex are sold separately.

This blade adapter is made to attach a lawn mower cutting blade to the drive shaft of a push mower. Though it is made of sturdy metal and is tightly fastened to the mower's drive, the adapter and blade may wear and loosen over time. This can present a dangerous situation as well as poor cutting performance for the blade. Also, each adapter has a small insert tab that fits into the blade attachment. This tab, called a “key,” is actually a shear pin. Should the blade strike a solid object, the key will sheer off, preventing the blade from coming loose or suffering irreparable damage. The solution to either of these problems is to replace the blade adapter. The blade itself should be closely examined to make sure it fits the new adapter with no wobble or slack. To replace the blade adapter, turn the mower on its side with the air filter on top. Use a ratchet to remove the bolt that attaches the blade and adapter to the drive shaft. Make certain to fit the new adapter key into the keyway on the shaft. Always use a replacement part like this one, that is OEM certified to be identical to the original. This blade adapter is compatible with Ryobi, Yard Machines, Yard Man, Huskee, Cub Cadet, Troy-Bilt, MTD, and Bolens mowers.

These quality tiller tines are used on a variety of yard tillers. Tiller tines are blades attached to the tiller that turn soil and prep it for cultivating a garden. To replace the tines, remove the spark plug wire before taking off the tine shield end cover. Taking out the tines requires removing the cotter pin from the clevis pin so the clevis pin can be pulled out. Next, the tines can be pulled directly off of the shaft.
