Bosch 00154740 Carbon Brush, Drum Motor OEM Part

This is the second time this issue has come about. Bosch would tell you that you have a brushless motor. This is not true. If you get on youtube.com you can see how you can replace the brushes in your motor. Brush replacement. $50. New motor using a appliance repair man $500.

Took out the motor to clean the armature and found that the brushes needed to be replaced instead.

Replaced the brushes on the electric motor. Be sure to blow out the motor with some compressed air to get all of the carbon dust from the old brushes out. These guys really came through - FedEx lost my first shipment! However, I called up and AppliancePartsPros was able to get a replacement overnighted to me at no cost. Awesome customer service!!

When my Bosch Nexxt 100 washer drum stopped spinning, I did a bit of research on line before spending money on a repair man and you should too! Found out that one possible cause was the carbon brushes worn down then found a video on You Tube showing how to change them out. Looked easy enough so ordered the brush set, it arrived in 2 days and took less than 15 minutes to replace them. Saved myself $500 on a repairman who would've wanted to replace the entire motor! After researching what the problem was, we ordered our parts from Appliance Parts Pros and replaced them. Drum is spinning fine again! Everything we read said that we would have to replace the whole motor to the tune of a couple hundred dollars. However, after reading reviews from other individuals, we found the carbon brushes can be replaced on that motor with no problem, and for only $40!
