Randy E Hancock , ME September 01, 2017 Appliance: Model BOSH DISHWASHER The top plastic panel facia which houses the handle to open the door broke the panel is held on with two screws at the bottom which is a stress point and design flaw The parts from AppliancePartsPros.com arrived a day ahead of schedule. (I'm a big APP.com fan.) I removed the metal front door panel, then removed the broken plastic Panel-Facia which houses the handle. Because the buttons and handle trim needed to be transferred from the old Panel-Facia to the new one, I expected that, also being plastic, they may break when making the transfer, so I ordered all of those parts as well, which only drove the cost up about $32. If I broke one item in the transfer, then it would have delayed the fix and incurred additional shipping costs. Sure enough when I removed the handle trim, one of the plastic detents cracked. Murphy's Law. The plastic door handle is located at the top of the door. Dishwashers produce heat; heat rises; heat vents; plastic gets brittle when exposed to temperature fluctuations. Time required to replace the parts was fast; maybe 15 - 20 minutes cover to cover. Take it slow and be gentle with the plastic parts. John R Cheshire , CT February 22, 2016 Broken front panel Quick and easy fix. Less than 10 minutes, just be careful removing the chrome trim piece. Push it out, do not try to pry in any way. I had to remove the screws inside the door to remove the front panel, but once it is removed, unscrew the facia panel, remove the button as you must reuse the originals and reverse the order. Mine took a Torx driver to remove the front panel. Read More... 8 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: Less than 15 minutes Tools: Screwdrivers

Julieanne P Walpole , MA January 07, 2019 Broken facia Found a utube video showing how to remove the door panel and replace the facia. I had to borrow a torque 20 screwdriver, but once I had the correct tool replacing the facia was a snap. The video included removal of the control panel as well, but I didn’t need to touch any of the electronics. Read More...
