Benjamin E Pittsburgh , PA July 26, 2022 Appliance: Model SHX68TL5UC/07 Drain pump I spent a lot of time taking apart and cleaning the drain pump and hoses in my Bosch dishwasher. I still got the error that the drain pump wasn't right. So, after doing some research, I learned that the motor might be done and that seemed to be the only solution. I serached for my part on APPs.com and found the part for about $43 ($50 by the time tax and shipping was added in). The part was ordered, shipped and was on my doorstep in two days. I followed the repair video instructions provided by APPs.com and was able to take out the old drain pump and install the new one in about 5 minutes. Keep in mind that I had the rest of the dishwasher apart including the door cover, kick plate, and sound dampening insulation out. I disconnected the electric wires from the little circuit board first and then removed the clumped wires that were under the top hook on the pump. This was easy. I used a small screwdriver to loosen the locking clip on top of the pump which holds it in place and had to use some force to turn the pump clockwise to loosen it and remove it. Then I took the new pump and wet the gasket with some leftover water in the drain. I put the pump back in place making sure to line up the locking grooves on each side. This did take a couple tries because of the angle of the washer and the small space I had to work with. My washer has an adjustable height plate on the bottom that can't be removed easily. After a few tries I got the grooves to line up and turned the pump counter-clockwise to tighten it. The lock clip on top clicked into place. I then put the electric conduit back on the pump. I turned the electricity back on and opened the water valve for the washer. I started a cycle on top and closed the door. It did its usual thumping sounds and started a cycle with no errors. I put the rest of the pieces back together which actually took longer than the repair. It works fine now and didn't cost me $400 as I was estimated by a repair person. Randy B Sedro-Woolley , WA June 06, 2021 E23 Bosch drain pump failure. Surprisingly easy process. The video was easy to follow, and right on. After shipping the part was $60 and saved replacing a $700 washer. I'm generally handy around the house, but had never worked on an appliance before. Ian F Woodbridge , VA November 18, 2020 Appliance: Bosch Dishwasher SHX65T55UC/07 Bosch dishwasher showing error message e24. E24 indicates a problem with the drainage system. Drainage pump was making a noise therefore I ordered a new pump and replaced it. I also cleaned the drainage outlet pipes and found a mass of fibers blocking the air gap between the dishwasher and the garbage disposal unit. This blockage was probably the cause of the entire problem, however I had no idea that the air gap neeeded to be checked. If anyone else is seeing the E24 error message then I suggest they look at the air gap first! Louis L Herndon , VA February 06, 2024 E24 dishwasher not draining The dishwasher is relatively new, so it was pretty depressing for it to throw the E24 code. I watched a few YouTube videos for troubleshooting tips (check hoses, check for blockages in the screens, impeller, etc) and nothing solved the problem. I removed the drain pump and found hair wrapped around the axle beneath the impeller. I live in a household where most problems come down to hair wrapped around something or clogging other things, so I ordered a new pump and it installed easily. Fixed the problem, saved a bunch of money. Wife and kids think I'm a hero.
