Charles L Richmond , VA December 20, 2014 Impeller broke off the drain pump Replaced the drain pump assembly. Took about 90 minutes. Most difficult part was getting to the hoses and clamps in inside the machine at the bottom front. Just had to open the back panel and work inside. About the same difficulty as changing the radiator hoses on an automobile engine. Mark M Goodland , MN May 28, 2014 The drain pump I took off the back panel which has two different sizes of star screws and took off the lower panel to get to the one screw that holds the pump on. The lower panel pulls out on the left side and slides out on the right side. After removing the screw that holds the pump in and taking the two hoses off and the electrical harness off I reversed the process with the new pump. It took me about an hour to complete the task. I am a former building contractor so I was used to fixing things that I had little knowledge of how the they we're put together. Joe H Fleetwood , PA November 06, 2015 Our bosch axxis washer (bought around 2004) was stalling before the spin cycle and the pump was loud and barely moving water Using torx screwdrivers, I removed the top and back panels, and the lower plastic trim panel on the front bottom. I then disconnected the wiring plug and two hoses. There's a screw right below the drain plug/cleanout on the front of the machine. Remove that and the pump will be free. I also blew air through the drain hose while it was off the pump to be sure it was clear. I didn't need to roll my machine on it's side as one video suggests, but it does take some effort to remove and replace the hoses and clamps. I had a helper push the bigger hose back onto the pump body while I held the spring clamp open with pliers.
