This control panel and touchpad is for an oven. It provides users with the means to control the oven and stove top. By using the touchpad, users are able to set the oven function and temperature, adjust the timer, check the clock, and more. The panel also houses (but does not include) the knobs to control the stove's burners. This is a front-mounted control panel rather than side or rear-mounted.The control panel can be damaged in several ways. The most common is hot liquid spilled on or near the touchpad. The touchpad will also eventually wear out over time through normal use. With a damaged touchpad, controlling the oven will be difficult or impossible. To replace the control panel, unplug the stove, then remove the burner knobs. Remove the mounting screws and pry the panel loose. Disconnect the wiring and then install the new panel.This is a genuine OEM replacement part. It is sold individually. It fits Whirlpool and Jenn-Air ovens.
