This part is discontinued by the manufacturer and is no longer available for purchase.
This is an authentic OEM replacement part sourced directly from the manufacturer for use in various small engines. This oil fill tube assembly is part of the oil delivery system. This tube delivers the oil to the oil tank when it is added to the engine. If this tube cracks or deteriorates over time, the oil will not make it to the oil tank or the engine. This could lead to complete engine failure if the leak is not discovered. Oil on the driveway or lawn or smoke coming from under the engine when the lawnmower is running is a sure sign that the tube may need to be replaced. The oil fill tube assembly also houses the dipstick which is used to check the oil level in the mower. If the assembly is leaking, the reading won't be accurate and the lawnmower may be operated without adequate oil which can damage the engine. A screwdriver is needed to replace the oil fill tube. Do not replace this part until the engine has cooled. This oil fill tube assembly is made of black molded plastic and sold as an individual unit. It is designed for use in lawnmowers and other small engines manufactured by Toro, Tecumseh, and Briggs & Stratton.
This replacement part is a cylinder head assembly. The cylinder head assembly covers the engine head cylinder and houses the cylinder valves. Over time, the cylinder head assembly can become damaged due to excessive wear and tear. If the engine is no longer running as efficiently as it once did, the cylinder head assembly might need to be replaced. Luckily, this is a fairly simple repair. Before beginning, make sure the engine of the mower has cooled. Once cool, begin by lifting up the hood or engine cover and detach it. Remove the air filter cover. Lift out the air filter. Using a three-eighths socket or wrench remove the blower housing mounting bolts. Detach the oil drain tube and lift off the blower housing. Unthread the bolts that secure the intake manifold and detach the breather tube. Set the carburetor assembly aside. Then unthread the spark plug. Remove the mounting bracket and unthread the exhaust manifold bolts. Pull the manifold free of the muffler. Unthread the valve cover mounting bolts. Pry the cover off with a putty knife and be prepared for some oil to spill. Once the cover is off use the three-eights inch socket wrench to remove the old cylinder head mounting bolts. Pull the old cylinder assembly out of its place and replace it with the new assembly. This genuine OEM part is compatible with MTD brand lawnmowers.
This replacement part is an external gasket kit, and it is intended for use in different types of lawn equipment. This is a genuine replacement part made by MTD. This gasket kit is different from typical gasket kids as they are used on the external side of the engines. These gaskets are still very important to the engine as a whole and allow it to run smoothly during use.A new external gasket kit might be needed if the current one is broken or damaged. If there are noises coming from inside the machine it is possible that the parts of the gasket are out of place or could be malfunctioning. Be sure the engine of the appliance is completely powered down and cooled off before replacing the gasket kit as this area can be hot from use.Be sure to reference the specific user manual prior to beginning this repair. Note that this is a genuine OEM replacement part and is told individually. This part is sourced directly from the manufacturer.
