This part is a replacement for a damaged refrigerator dispenser control board. This touch-enabled control board allows the user to choose different functions for the dispenser, including varying types of ice, light, temperature readings, and to fill glasses with water. The dispenser control board can fail due to corrosion of electrical contacts.If the dispenser control board fails, users will be unable to dispense ice or water, or adjust the light (or some variation of these). Replacing the board is relatively simple. First, disconnect the power to the refrigerator. Then, using a flathead screwdriver, pry the bottom two tabs up and pull out gently, then pull downward to release the upper five tabs. Disconnect the wire connector and connect it to the new one. Install the new control board by reversing the previous steps.This is a genuine OEM part. It is made by Whirlpool and sold individually. It is compatible with Whirlpool refrigerators only.
