When you are moving on uneven ground or simply turning, the gauge wheel is responsible for ensuring the machine doesn't hit the ground. It measures the distance between the surface and the deck. By doing so, the lawn tractor's deck is safe and sound on uneven surfaces. When it is deformed or broken, the tractor's deck is at a high risk of sustaining damage. A gauge wheel is broken if it doesn't touch the ground and doesn't wholly rotate. Replacing the gauge wheel is a straightforward procedure. First, turn off the tractor and take the key out. Use a socket and wrench to loosen the gauge wheel's bolt. Then, remove the old wheel. Insert the bolt and washer into the hole of the gauge wheel replacement. Then, attach the bolt to the mounting bracket. Use a socket wrench to secure. This gauge wheel from Husqvarna is specifically designed to fit and work with lawnmowers. This original Husqvarna replacement gauge wheel is for mower models from Poulan, Ariens, Craftsman, Dixon, and Husqvarna. It is sold individually and doesn't include a bolt and washer.
