How to Troubleshoot & Replace Bosch AP2802212 / 00298564 Dishwasher Drain Hose

Plumber replaced it. The hose was too short and he had to go to the hardware store to get extra pieces to attach it. The old hose was much longer! 

Pulled out dishwasher, ran it to see where leak was. Determined that there was a pinhole leak in the drain hose. Watched a you-tube video on replacing the hose for the model dishwasher I have. Installed new hose. Hardest part was rehooking up the waterline. 

Watched on-line video + consulted manual that came with dishwasher. actually, manual sufficed as it was an easy job (replacing the hose). [getting the dishwasher removed from under granite counter top proved a bit more challenging but manageable. Comments below pertain to entire job: read manual, unhook dishwasher plumbing, remove dishwasher from housing, remove hose/replace hose (trivial: 2 minutes), put it all back together. ] 

Purchased and replaced drain hose - website video was extremely helpful to see how the old hose disassemble from the dishwasher. 

I noticed a puddle under the dishwasher, and when I pulled the unit out of the cabinet, saw evidence that mice were either drinking or bathing in water coming out of a hole they had eaten into the hose. I went online to find out how to access the place where the drain hose attaches to the dishwasher, saw that replacing the drain hose was a fairly simple operation, and ordered a replacement. It came within two days, and was easily attached. The mice, alas, are now in a better place. 

Removed under counter dishwasher. Removed leaking drain hose. Installed new hose from appliance pro's. Reinstalled unit and no more washed dishes on counter.

Replaced drain hose. I had previously purchased the wrong hose from a competitor, but your video set me right. In the future I'll start with you. The only thing missing from the video was removal of the metal shielding over the left side of the dishwasher where the hose connects, which required a torque head screwdriver. 

Ordered OEM replacement part from appliancepartspros.com, watched the instructional video, and proceeded with the replacement installation. 

Utilizing the video on your website, as well as a youtube video, I uninstalled the dishwasher and reinstalled with new hose
