How to Troubleshoot & Replace Frigidaire AP6230368 / 242270106 Module

Easy fix removed 6 screws unplugged the old part replace with new part plugged in replaced screws very easy. The part was spendy but cheaper then a new frig. Happy with the service part came quickly and it was super easy to change out . I now have water and ice that doesn’t keep on coming out. 

Replaced with a new Dispenser Funnel Guide unit. 

1st I called home warranty who sent out a tech that ordered parts without checking anything that home warranty declined. Checked the unit myself and repaired it quickly. The Ice maker was fine, just needed to thaw the rear of the unit, around the solenoid. The interface worked after unplugging unit and then plugging it back in again. Not many real techs out there anymore. 

Replaced the dispenser funnel guide. 

I ordered the part from you guys and installed it with a perfect fit. 

I identified the replacement part then reviewed how to do it. I looked easy. So I ordered the part and did it myself. It only took about 10 minutes with a Phillips-head screwdriver. 

Dispense Funnel Guide quit working on the fridge! The water would spill onto the kitchen floor and we'd sometimes leave it. Well, after slipping and falling on the spilled water couple of times (the wife too), I decided to call a repairman/company. I diagnosed the problem to be a broken return spring or broken spring attachment. I had to order the entire Dispenser Funnel Guide. The part arrived the next day and the work only took about 15 minutes. It worked perfectly. If the home owner is moderately handy, it is an easy fix. Too bad Frigidaire made such a cheap part, the part that broke was a small plastic piece about 3/16" thick. No way to fix it. 

I replaced both the module and interface with the parts I ordered from Appliance Parts Pros. Both fit perfect and it took all of about 10 min. All works like new. 

Ordered part, installed ourselves.
