How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP2058495 / WR2X4901 Refrigerator Door Cam Riser

I determined that the cam riser had broken into two pieces. Finding the part was easy on the diagram on the website. It arrived less than 24 hours after it was ordered. Top hinge was removed and the door was placed on a set of horses. One bolt was removed from the bottom of the door, the pieces of the broken cam riser were removed and the new one installed. Door was replaced and top hinge rebolted. The door was off for about 5 minutes. I was very pleased with the service of Appliance Parts Pros.

I have to replace the broken parts mentioned above and I replaced by installing the 3 parts above. I followed the youtube video that was shown with one of your parts on the web site. However, to an inexperience person like myself, I need someone to hold the door steady while I was working to remove and replace the parts above. It is simple enough for anyone to figure out what to do. just take pictures prior to the removal of any parts so it simplifies the installation of the replacement parts.

Replaced the cam. 

The refrigerator was bought in 1991 so the model number did not even come up so I took a chance and ordered by the picture. The old riser was riveted to the hinge so I had to drill it out and use a nut and bolt to secure the new riser to the hinge. It works great and the door closes as it should. My part came the next day so that was great since the refrigerator belongs to my 90 year old Father. Yes, I repaired it myself.
