How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP2031097 / WB44X5099 Oven Heating Element

Simple purchase from Appliance Parts Pros. after speaking with them on the phone. I was Emailed the matching parts number as mine and found part (Oven Bake Element) in their listing, Ordered part over the phone and Element was shipped reasonably fast. With the new one I ordered from you guys project went really well. 

I contacted AppliancePartsPros.com. They researched and found the elements that were needed for my 1960 GE range. I ordered the parts and they arrived the next day! I put both parts in by taking pictures of what they looked like before I took them apart. Worked like a charm!!! Without the research I would have had to guess which element I needed. AppliancePartsPros did an amazing job. 

I searched the Appliancepartspro website but did not find my model no. My GE oven is 40 yrs old. I used the chat feature to submit my info. Brent A said he would research it. 2 days later he found the part and I ordered it. 2 days later my old oven was working all for $25 total. Quite a bargain. 

I have a 1960 GE range in a rental property. Replacing the element was easy, finding the part was difficult. I gave the Model and serial numbers to Robin, one of your parts pros, and they did some research and found the correct part. Other parts sites just said it wasn't available. 

I originally searched on your website by oven model number,but could not find the element. I spoke with customer service who couldn't find anything but said he would research and get back with me. Keep in mind that this oven is 39 years old, I called a local supplier who said he would also have to do some research. I removed the bake element and found a number and provided it to the local supplier, he called me back and said he had one and it would be $50.00 for the part. I then went back to your website and typed in that number and found the exact element for $17.00 + shipping = $24.50, I ordered the part and had it the next afternoon. Installation took all of about 5-10 minutes. 

Replaced it 

Perfectly, you sent the right part, saved me $50 over GE price, part came fast 2 days, just before major snow storm, 4 screws later and this 70 year old lady is baking again. Thank you so very much. 

Because the oven was built in 1958 I was not to sure we would be able to repair it. I submitted a request to appliancepartspros.com to help find the correct part. Within a few days I was contacted with a link to order the new replacement. The technician was very helpful in providing the correct part and what I needed to do to adapt my oven for the fit. I was amazed by the quick service and direction I received. 

Removed and replaced. A little dis-assembly of the interior of the oven but no special tools required. Don't lose the bolts and nuts as these do not come with the replacement element.
