How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP2031097 / WB44X5099 Oven Heating Element

Ordered a new element from you. The oven is 50 years old, so you had to do research to find the right replacement and it worked. 

Ordered the right part by measuring it on the grid in the picture. My friend came over and turned off the breaker to the oven and installed the new part. Works wonderful now. 

I ordered the part and installed it myself

I was online getting ready to check with home depot when i saw the ad for AppliancePartsPro.com i clicked on that , saw that my part was $10 cheaper and a promise of shipment the next day so i oredered it tuesday night got it thursday,fixed it in about 5 minutes. 

Easy fix. Four screws to remove and reinstall. It all took about 10 minutes. 

Turn off power, remove screws, install new element, replace screws - done 

The old element blew my circuit breaker and some 120 plugs. Had to have an electrician Your element arrived on time as promised--Electrician reset the circuit breaked, My son n law replaced your new element--All went smoothly-- Thanks for all your help--Great service---Thank you very much--no complaints--Oven works great now Appreciatively 

It was more trouble finding the part number than instaling the new element.The oven is 62 years old.With the help on the web site of Appliance Parts Pros it was real easy. Your web site is the best I have ever dealt with. Extremely helpful and go out of your way to find the part that is needed. The front burner replacement was not complicated my daughter and I figured out how to replace by taking the old unit apart and making a chart. It only took about 15 minutes. The bottom bake element took about five minutes. My double GE oven is 47 years old and is like new. It is used everyday and I love this unit. Maybe some day coppertone will come back in style. (only kidding) I will and do recommend you to everyone. Keep up the outstanding work. Your staff is outstanding very knowledgeable and goes beyond to help.
