How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP2042543 / WE3X87 Dryer Drum Support Bearing Glide

Found your web page, read awhile and diagnosed the problem, ordered the parts and installed. Super easy. Hardest part was getting my arm in there to reset the new belt on the pulley, but all in all, a very easy fix. Replaced front and rear bearings, bearing glides, and a new belt. Took about 40 minutes total. Bonus!!! Found $4 bucks worth of change in the bottom of the front panel!! Thought I was at a coin op laundromat and hit pay dirt! Thanks. 

Replaced rear bearing and belt 

Replaced Rear Drum Bearing Kit 

New dryer belt and drum bearing 

Replaced slides and rear bearing would have simpler if there were 4 slides in pkg rather than 1 

Removed the old support and easily installed new parts 

Replaced belt pulley, tank beating and felt seal. 

Purchased the rear drum bearing kit and the three glides, it took about a half an hour to do the repair. Couldn't of Went easier the search for parts was simple and the video was spot on thankyou appliance pros. 

Replace rear drum bearing 

I removed top cover according to instructions provided by search on the internet of the serial # of unit. I removed the drum and found that the heating coils were burned open. also noticed that rear bearing for drum was badly worn and one front bearing also worn. I found AppliancePartsPros on line listing the correct parts for my repair. Contacted this supplier on Wednesday noon and was amazed when FedEx showed up at my door on Thursday around 10:00AM. I replaced the coils and bearings and re-assembled the dryer with ease and now it runs just perfect and dries my clothes rapidly once again. Thank you for being there AppliancePartsPros.
