How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP3423578 / WE03X10007 Drum Glide (Front Support), 1-Pack

I removed the damaged felt strips and all adhesive residue from the dryer door face. Then I installed the new felt strips. The plastic glides snapped into place easily on the drum. Reinstalling the door was a simple operation, and the drum fit snugly on the new felt gaskets. The dryer works great now, runs quietly, and the entire repair cost much less than a service call or purchasing a new dryer. 

I replaced the upper and lower felts as well as the drum glides. 

I replaced the felt and the plastic guide strips on the drum. It was a simple repair that took about 90 minutes. I simply removed the front door panel, removed the old felt strips and glued on the new ones. Make sure to thoroughly remove the old felt and glue. I used a flat razor blade to help remove the old adhesive. 

Replaced the felt strips and plastic glide drum slides. And its like brand new now. 

Replaced the rear Drum Bearing kit, Glide Drum, Upper Felt and Idler Arm. These were the most recommended repairs from AppliancePartsPros.com, and since I had the dryer apart, I chose to replace all the common wear parts. The hardest part was figuring out how to take the top off... there were no good images or descriptions. For my model, there are two spring clips on the front above the control panel and top which need to be depressed with a flat head screw driver. 

My dryer came apart a little differently than the one in the video but I was able to find a service manual for it online to get the dryer apart. Once we had it open the rear drum bearing kit fit perfectly with all the correct parts. Now the dryer runs like new. My dryer is stacked on top of the washer and I chose to leave it there so had to use a step stool, made it slightly more awkward but still doable. 

Was essay to put in and I am happy I found .... 

Did the fix myself. Start to finish was about 5 minutes. 

Ordered the new bearing kit. Also replaced the belt and intededd to replace the drum guuides but only ordered one not realizing it takes 2. No harm as the originals shown no signs of wear. 

Ordered new one from you. Couldn't tell from drawing it came in 2 pieces. When it arrived and I took dryer apart, I realized that I needed another one. Had to find one locally in order to finish installation.
