How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP7018722 / WR23X37285 Light Switch

I followed the video and the installation of the switch took 30 seconds. 

3 attempts (different times) to pull it out! It was very tight and at the bottom part of the refrigerator. Far-right side difficult to pull out without breaking the connection wires that I couldn't see. Put the new one in, plugged it in, still no light? Unplug the refrigerator again removed the light switch, checked it (ok) put it back in (FIXED) Bingo! No youngster here. 

Replaced the switch. It took 5 minutes. 

After watching the video it was very easy and the delivery was super fast, love it, thanks guys! 

Got a new part, watched the video supplied by appliancepartspros, and fixed it. They made it very easy! 

Tested bulb but it was good. Next removed switch and was able to get the light working intermittently. Jumped the switch and determined it was bad. Researched and found the part in which prices were all over the place. I’ve dealt with appliance parts pros before and their price was cheapest and a direct replacement. Fast arrival (1 week earlier than the estimate), and great quality. 

Bought a new switch for $5 from Appliance Parts Pros. Installed in ten minutes. 

Ordered the switch from Appliance Parts Pros change it out in about 5 minutes and repair parts fixed the problem.

The part was ordered in the early afternoon and I then watched the You Tube video illustrating the repair. I did not use expedited shipping but the part arrived 24 hours later so the repair information was still fresh in my mind. Using simple tools and 20 minutes of my time, the job was perfectly done. I can now see the food in the rear of the fridge without a flashlight.
