Michael Z St Charles , MO April 24, 2015 Appliance: General Electric Refrigerator GSH25SGPCSS Intermittently the refrigerater side of my ge side by side refrigerator would be warm on the top portion of the refrigerator side only the freezer appeared to be working fine I noticed the door switch on the refrigerator side activates the refgerator light and also activates the temperature control panel and when the door is open for a certain amount of time it the damper between the refrigerator and the freezer on the top of the refrigerator closes and no cold air from the freezer blows into the refrigerator to cool it on the top. I order the switch from appliance parts pros in came in 2 days. It took about 5 minutes to pop the old switch out and install the new switch. The clip that holds the switch in is on the right side. Door handle: used small flat head and remove the 2 narrow white covers for each handle. Starting from the top, gently insert a flat head under the white cover and seperate it from chrome molding. Once seperated you can pull the white cover off. Remove the 2 screws hollding the handle. Carefully remove the 2 chrome pieces on each handle and put them on the new ones. To reinstall white covers: starting from the handle insert and push down and press in as you work your way up.
