How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP3207353 / WH23X10020 Pump Asm - Drain

Purchased pump from appliance parts pros at 400 pm online on Wednesday and Thursday afternoon the part was delivered at my door. Followed the video on your website for installation , and was done in 30 mins . Went perfect , saved money , and now have a perfectly running washing machine again ! 

Replaced the drain pump 

It was pretty simple once I moved the washer into an area were I had room to move, it took about an hour from start to finish, it would have been less if I had a little more room to work in. I removed the old pump and replaced it with the new pump. 

Replaced the drain pump assembly 

I noticed water on the floor, and suspected something on the washer was leaking. I removed the rear panel, started the washing machine, and noticed water dripping out of the drain pump. I ordered the replacement drain pump. Once the drain pump was received, I removed the old pump with the two screws, installed the new drain pump, and ran a test wash cycle. I no longer have water dripping on the floor. Disassembly of the old pump revealed the pump seal and bearing on the pump had worn completely down, and ground a groove in the plastic housing, causing a water leak path. The old pump was simply worn out. 

I ordered and replaced the Drain Pump Assembly. 

Replaced it with a new Pump Assembly. The unit is like new again! 

I had a friend come look at my washer and he told me it was the pump. I looked online and found a replacement pump on the website of AppliancePartsPros.com. It was an easy process to order the part. The site even made sure it was an exact match to my washer before I finalized the order. I was extremely grateful that the part arrived a day early! Once the part arrived it took me a little over an hour to switch out the parts. The machine is running great now!

I replaced the pump assembly. It was easy. By far the hardest part had nothing to do with the pump, it was mostly about scooping the water out of the machine, dragging the machine from the wall, removing the cover, and getting it in a place where I could reach and see inside to work. The actual part replacement was easy, just a couple of screws, connecting the hoses and a wiring harness plug.
