David P Oxford , WI February 11, 2023 Water dripping. Water pooling on the floor. I noticed water on the floor, and suspected something on the washer was leaking. I removed the rear panel, started the washing machine, and noticed water dripping out of the drain pump. I ordered the replacement drain pump. Once the drain pump was received, I removed the old pump with the two screws, installed the new drain pump, and ran a test wash cycle. I no longer have water dripping on the floor. Disassembly of the old pump revealed the pump seal and bearing on the pump had worn completely down, and ground a groove in the plastic housing, causing a water leak path. The old pump was simply worn out. Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 1-2 hours
