Checked online repair videos and determined a new drain pump may be needed. After checking the old motor and drain hoses for any clogs(there were none), went ahead and ordered a new drain pump. The new pump was delivered in 2 days(cost about $50). Installation was quick. Ran machine through a wash cycle, and the drain cycle worked perfectly! Problem occurred when it would not proceed to the spin cycle, but instead, returned to the rinse and drain cycle...Arg! After manually setting the machine to spin for a couple of loads, the machine must have corrected itself??, and now runs through all cycles correctly. I'm feeling very lucky after attempting and succeeding in this DIY repair. Saved the cost of a repair service call,or worse, a new machine.
