How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP3187983 / WB23T10015 Temperature Sensor

Installed a new lower heating element and a new temperature sensor. Test, set the oven temperature to 350 on bake, the oven reached that temperature and leveled off, a small in the oven thermometer also recorder the internal temperature to be 350 when it leveled off. Problem fixed. 

Replaced temperature sensor. 

Relatively straightforward repair. Removed screw holding temperature sensor in place and pulled on the wire to get the connector out. This was more difficult than the videos showed and I was afraid I would need to remove the oven from the wall. However, I was able to use a screwdriver to get the connector lined up and through the hole. Then it's as easy as plugging the new one in and replacing the screw. I did remove the oven door beforehand to make reaching into the oven easier. 

Easy fix, one screw, and the sensor pulled right out. The sensor is at the top back of the oven. Once out, I unplugged it and put the new one in. I used a screwdriver to feed the cord back in and screwed in the screw. Tested and worked like new. Easy 5-minute fix. It should be noted that the part said 3-8 days and I received it the next day. Pretty awesome experience. 

Replaced temperature sensor. 

Replaced the Key Panel Assembly. 

Turned off the power to oven. Removed the old sensor and installed the new one. 

Replaced Temperature Sensor. 

Installed temperature control sensor. 

Easy peasy. I first tried to turn the beaker on and off to reset F2 code and that didn't work. I ordered this part. Removed the racks to get to it better. Turned the breaker off. Removed the upper burner so that the temperature sensor wire would come. out of the back without me having to access the back of the oven. No issues since replacement.
