How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP3187983 / WB23T10015 Temperature Sensor

Pulled out the wall oven (this was quite difficult and needed a friend to help). Once the oven was removed, the repair was very easy. Several panels to remove, all with a nut driver and screwdriver. Parts fit perfectly. Spent $125 on parts; a repair service would probably charge $500-700 (this Long Island North Shore, after all) 

Replaced all two coils and temp control 

With the support of Appliance Parts Pros, I ordered 3 parts (plus glass stove top cleaner) that were suspected to be the cause of the problem for a total of $49.59. Easily replaced the Range Oven Sensor, $15.91, at the back of the interior oven & that was it! All oven features work fine & my wife set the oven for the clean cycle earlier today. So far, so good! Thanks for your help! Would recommend Appliance Parts Pros to anyone. 

We bought 2 sensors and installed. Still broke. Had local tech replaced control Oven, and all is fine. 

I was able to see parts diagram on Appliance Parts Pros web site and it was priced much lower than my local parts supplier. The part arrived on third day and I replaced the part in 15 minutes. Saved $100.00 on service call and over $50.00 on part. Could not be happier and now have website bookmarked.

Replace the control board and tempsensor 

When the temperature sensor in the oven is working, when you turn the oven on the temperature starts at 100 degrees. The defective sensor might show 230 degrees or some other value when first starting the oven. 

Replaced the oven sensor. 

I went online to check out the error code. The code was oven door lock. Since I was not cleaning the oven I guessed that the oven temp was too high which prompted the latch to partially engage. Then I noticed that there was no temperature insuring on the display and I put two and two together and thought, there is a bad temp probe, somewhere. So I called AppliancePartsPros.com and asked the location of the temp probe and if the temp probe controlled the indicated temperature as well as the temperature control. I was advised that this probe did both things, I knew that this was the part that I had to replace. The Parts pros video gave me everything else that I needed to know.
