How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP3993727 / WB13T10076 Spark Module

Tried igniter switch; did not work. Replaced igniter module. It worked. 

Ordered the spark module and transformer after reading blogs. I wasn’t sure which part failed, but upon inspection it was the Transformer. All Fixed and working! Nice 

Like many others, our stove stopped sparking after a spill. After using a lighter for months, finally got around to checking out all the wiring as per the repair manual and discovered that the transformer was shot so ordered a replacement plus a new spark module just to be safe. Replacing both restored functionality. The fix is pretty easy to do... 

While cleaning the cooktop a couple of drops of water fell into the control knob area. It shorted the Wire harness switch, which fried the transformer. I replaced both components as well as the Spark module just as a precaution. The cooktop works perfectly again. 

Replaced the module and the transformer. We lost three transformers before realizing the spark module was bad. The repair did not take long and was very easy to do. 

Removed all the burners and wires for igniters. Remove the top of the stovetop and replaced the spark module. Put everything back together and it works great now.
