How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP3872949 / WD21X10224 Interlock Switch

I open the cover on the door of the dishwasher where sensor is located, and replaced with the new I got from your store 

Ordered parts 

Ordered new switch order and replace an installed washer works fine now 

Trace power. Test interlock sw. (2) Found one defective. 

Replaced both switch interlocks and for good measure also replaced the plunger interlock and spring mechanism 

Replaced the switch on the right side when viewing the dishwasher with the door closed, the one on the left had already gone out a month prior. I would recommend replacing both when one goes bad. 

Replaced the interlock switch. Remove the screws on the inside cover, the lower two are different. Remove the two screws either side of the latch. Gently pry the cover off, pick the switch up off the two locating pins, unplug the wires (be patient and work with them) connect wires to the new switch and reassemble. Done. 

I have a GE quiet power 1 and when you you would close the door the control panel would not activate. I purchased these two switches and replace the switches which took all of about 5 minutes and now my dishwasher works great. All I needed was a Phillips head screwdriver and a flat head to pop off the wire connectors.
