How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP3872949 / WD21X10224 Interlock Switch

Just by replacing it. I have also replaced the Interlock Switch Plunger to be sure. 

Replaced interlock switch, interlock switch plunger and plunger spring. Dishwasher now working and wife is happy.

Googled the problem. Found your business, got a part number, and watched the video. 

I performed the test as per your videos and found the the door Interlock switch has a short I it. 

Door switches replaced. 

Ordered switch, overnighted it. Removed and replaced switch in 30 minutes. 

Had the same problem before. Talked with tech on phone we figured out what parts were needed.

I googled my model number and that my dishwasher would not turn on. I wasn’t sure if it was the switch or the plunger, so I ordered and replaced both (total $11) I replaced the interlock switch switch and the interlock plunger as shown in the video. It took about 15 minutes. I really appreciate the “most likely issues” and the ability to watch the install videos.
