How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP5806905 / WE04X20089 Timer

My timer on my GE Dryer was stripped so the dial would no longer change the settings. My daugher and I watched the video, set the phone up on the dryer and went step by step and within 15 minutes we had it replaced!! Probably could have fixed it quicker except it was a little tough getting the wires disconnected due to having it forever. The video was clear with the instructions and I was shocked how simple this dryer was to work on. 

Replaced timer. Will buy from here going forward. 

Diagnosed the problem, called and ordered the part. Service was very friendly and helpful. 

Replaced the dryer's timer.

I watch a repair video. Order the timer and a new knob from your company. These parts came quickly. Three days, just as the company said they would. The repair was simple. The parts work great. Just a note, I am a 67 year old women. So, anyone can do it. Thanks 

I literally just unhooked the previous wires and hooked up to the new timer and there it was working again!! So easy and quick!!! 

Ordered knob, which was cracked, and timer, just in case.Turned out to be only the knob. Requested and received instructions for return. Checked yesterday on my account and saw note saying return approved. So all is good. 

I replaced the timer. Such an easy fix. Very satisfied with this. The shipment was also so fast! I will now search for a new knob. 

My son who lives 2500 miles away visits twice / yr. to tackle Mom's to-do list. The dryer was on top of the list. He checked U-Tube and it showed me exactly how to fix it. I ordered parts from Appliance Parts Pro, which he has used before with great success. The parts came in the day he left. So this 70-year young lady tackled it. Didn't even have to re-check U-Tube. Unplugged it, took the control panel off, took a picture of colored wires and where they were to go. Took out the old control and installed the new, one wire at a time since there were about 7. Attached the new knob to the front and then screwed the control panel back on. Plugged it in, pushed it back into place and turned it on. IT WORKED! Saved $$$$$.
