How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP5780508 / WE4M533 Dryer Timer Control Assembly

I ordered the wrong part and was able to cancel right away. I also received help ordering the right parts. I was able to follow the video and do the repair. Best customer service ever! 

Suspected the timer was the problem. Ordered the part and the fix was exactly as described in the video. Problem solved.

Ordered one from APP. Exact fit, and I received it in 3 days.

I first watched the video on how to access and replace the timer and it was straightforward. I then ordered a replacement timer switch and a new knob. It arrived within 3 days. I took a photo of the wiring as recommended and removed the old part. Put the new part in and reattached wires. Closed up the panel and back in business!

I followed the video provided on your website and had the old timer switched out with the new one in under 10 minutes.

Removing the panel and the old timer with knob was straight forward and we had done it before, but then we discovered while installing the new timer, the knob was broken, so had to order another knob today. You might want to check the condition of your knob before ordering the new timer to make sure you do not need another one at the same time. We are disabled senior citizens, and moving and maneuvering to get to things is a bit difficult for us. Should be a snap for an able bodied person.
