How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP7211596 / WD28X31818 Upper Rack (Dishwasher)

I removed the stops on the upper rack with a flat head screw driver. Then, I popped the new rack in and pushed the stops back in. On the bottom rack, just lift the old one out and set the new one in. The racks are not exactly the same but much better than the nearly 15-year-old rusty one. 

I ordered new racks for my dishwasher. The design was much better than the old trays. They fit perfectly and came in a timely manner. I am very happy with my purchase. 

Ordered replacement racks for my GE dishwasher along with two rack slide end caps. The bottom rack was replaced by sliding out the old and sliding in the new. The top rack was replaced by removing the end caps with needle-nose pliers, sliding the old rack out of the slides then sliding the new rack into the slides. replaced the end caps by positioning them and them in until they clicked. 

AppliancePartsPros.com amazingly had replacement racks for this old but still functioning dishwasher, so I ordered them and installed them. The dishwasher insides look great again!
