How to Troubleshoot & Replace Lg AP5669929 / 4774EN3002A Hinge Pin

I replaced the spider arm, bearings, and seal. Total job took about 2.5 hours from teardown back up and running. I watched the video before receiving my parts and didn't need to reference it later. I took some pictures during disassembly to make sure everything went back together as I was originally assembled. Nothing very technical just cumbersome and tight working conditions. 

My wife bought the washer used on Facebook. Well I ended up putting new tub bearings, seal, spider, and the 3 absorbers on the bottom with new pins. What a job. Appliance Parts Pros made it easy with their repair video. It runs nice and smooth now. Greg

Replaced all four wheel and the belt since I already had the machine open. Washer I had to replace the three shock absorbers. Both repairs were simple as long as you take your time and stay neat and organized. 

Replaced the defective "spyder" along with new bearings and tub seal. As a person with a fairly wide experience in "fixing" things from cars to washing machines to mainframe computers (in my past) and frequent interactions on the web searching for parts and information I found this supplier to be unique and exceptional. I followed the step by step process from the fixit video from your fantastic site. I identified the parts that needed replaced and ordered them through appliancepartspro. I believe the iPad was the most important tool in the repair. I would watch a short segment, press pause and then follow the procedure. No way in gods little green earth would I have been able to even come close to what I accomplished without your site. Most of my friends believe we are do-it-yourselfers and I have told each and everyone of them to add your site to their toolbox. The parts we ordered were the best priced and here in no time. Both the 12 year old washer and dryer I fixed, run like new and I am totally indebted to appliancepartspro.com. 

Bearings started making noise when running. Turning drum you could feel it was not smooth. The online video was very helpful. Made a step by step written direction to follow. No real issues except driving out the inner drum shaft took more force than I had anticipated. Bearings and seals replaced without much issue. Given the corrosion on the the spider and shaft I would have replaced it if I had known it. I cleaned the shaft as best as possible but still had some minor pitting. I would replace next time. Drum section seal was replaced without any issues. Installed new vibration dampers (new pins are included no need to order separate ones like I did) and support springs but they probably didn't need to be replaced.. Hardest part was getting the tub/door gasket installed! All and All it took about 4 hours of time. Good luck 

We referenced parts online and researched how difficult it would be to fix ourselves. Luckily we came across this site. The parts arrived quickly and the extensive how to video really helped facilitate the tear down and reassembly. 

The videos were excellent! I have never fixed a washer before and I found the videos clear, easy to understand and thoroughly explained. Best videos on the internet and I have searched quite a few. The washer is running like new and this video saved us 1,000.00 as parts were 200.00 and our quote from the service repair was 1200.00 plus labour. Thank you for providing such a great tool for the do-it-yourself ordinary person.
