How to Troubleshoot & Replace Lg AP5681103 / EBR76262102 Main Pcb Power Control Board Assembly

Drained tank with a wet vac. Removed the back panel to access the pump and verified that there were no objects in the pump or hose lines. Checked the voltage going to the pump and it was only ~58VAC, not the required 120VAC, indicating an issue with the voltage supply from the control board. Checked the continuity on the pump as well, which was fine. Don't bother checking the voltage on the controller board, as the wires are direct to the motor, so just check on the connector to the pump, which is easily accessible. Found two other cases online with similar findings, so ordered and installed a new control board, which resolved the issue. Found a helpful YouTube video for the board removal and replacement, which was straightforward after seeing how to slide the display unit to the left after screw removal to detach it and access the board. 

Had the same problems others have talked about. Our washer has no drain filter but I took the back off and checked then cleaned the pump with a shop vac, worked great. The drain hose had gunk in the end so cleaned it out also but still had error codes. I was reluctant to spend $200+ on the board imagining a hassle returning it if the problem was not fixed. While the part worked, no need to return it, a label in the box would have made it simple though you need approval first. Bottom line; part arrived the next day, the replacement was straightforward, the problem was fixed and the vids, and comments onsite are a good resource so worth supporting. 

Replaced the Main PCB Assembly 

After researching the error code, I ordered the main circuit board and drain pump. I replaced both on the washer and the problem was fixed. As usual, AppliancePartsPros.com sent the parts I needed in a couple of days, right before Christmas! 

Replaced pump, wasn't that. Replaced lid switch wasn't that. So I used my voltmeter and found I was only getting 60 volts to the pump on the drain cycle. Replaced the board from a different supplier and that board was defective. Decided to go with ApplancePartsPros for the second replacement and that worked! AppliancePartsPros was $80 more expensive but it worked so I am happy. 

Replace the PCB. 

Verified the pump was operational, no blockage in drain. Read several other peoples posts with sand problem, determined cause was faulty main control board. Once removed I could smell a burnt smell on it though nothing looked burnt. Replaced it with new board and now washer works as it should. 

I tried replacing the pump first, twice actually. But, when I realized all hoses were clear and clean and a new pump didn’t fix it. New control board was the next option. 

First, I replaced the washing machine drain pump but that was not the problem. Next, I replace the Pcb main assembly (the computer board) and that solved the problem immediately. It is possible that the drain pump went out first and then shorted out that portion of the motherboard. Since there is only one motherboard if anything stops working it is necessary to replace the entire board. Appliance Parts Pros was able to get me the proper part immediately and with fast deliver.
